Before performing reverse engineering processes, sample parts will be assessed to evaluate their feasibility for reverse engineering.
A physical inspection of the part is performed to determine its size, details, critical features, mating features, hidden features (undercuts and freeform features), required accuracy, and tolerances. DarTec considers a set list of criteria for reverse engineering feasibility assessment (If one or more of the below criteria applies, then reverse engineering is feasible).
Upon order confirmation, the part is scanned to capture the internal and external features using a high accuracy 3D laser scanner. Click to view the services are managed by DarTec to ensure including the design-intent of the part while manufacturing.
DarTec manages the manufacturing and 3D printing services with its strategic partners inside or outside the Kingdom
To ensure that the manufacturing process was performed correctly and that critical features are within acceptable tolerances at critical features, DarTec performs a post manufacturing scan and overlaps the new scan with that of the original sample to produce a color mapping plot that could identify areas of geometrical deviation
Parts are delivered after passing inspection for evaluation and acceptance. Access our list of deliverables based on customer order.
Localization can bring your company immense benefits. From saving costs to generating jobs, localization is significantly paving the way to Vision 2030.
increase in chances of winning a contract
Dartec offers you a seamless manufacturing process with distinct resources and unmatched experience.
1. Obsolete mechanical parts (Engineering drawings NOT available).
2. Consumable parts (Large quantity items stocked in inventory).
3. Parts that are no longer offered by OEMs (Difficult to source parts).
4. Parts that are monopolized by OEMs.
5. Out-of-warranty spare parts (Difficult to maintain or replace spare parts).
6. Difficult-to-manufacture parts (Freeform and undercut features).
7. High-value and critical parts (Expensive parts).
8. Long lead-time parts (Long procurement periods).
Local certified metallurgy labs are contracted to develop metallurgical composition reports.
2D Engineering Drawings are generated following ASME 14.7 standards to include all measurements and GD&Ts as required by machine operators to manufacture those parts.
Raw scan data is converted into usable CAD file format, which can be used to generate 2D engineering drawings or exported in multiple file formats for manufacturing and/or 3D printing.
CAD files are provided to network of local and international partners for additive manufacturing (3D Printing), enabling DarTec to have access to a wide variety of materials and technologies for different applications and purposes of 3D printing.
CAD files, along with metallurgy reports and operating conditions, are provided for a network of local manufacturing partners with varying capabilities and manufacturing processes.
